IDr. Dickie is a Forensic Psychologist who has a broad range of academic, clinical, training, and consulting experience. Academically, Dr. Dickie developed and directed the Forensic Psychology graduate Emphasis Area and developed the Restorative Justice Minor undergraduate program at Spalding University. Clinically, over the past 25 years, she has worked in both the Canadian and American criminal justice systems. Her training, consulting, and research interests advance the criminal justice system at the local, national, and international levels on topics such as 1) evidence-based assessment and treatment of forensic/correctional practice, 2) ethics and self-care, 3) compassion fatigue in judges, 4) therapeutic jurisprudence, 5) restorative justice, and 6) criminal justice organizational change. Dr. Dickie’s life’s work has been dedicated to advancing spiritual, humane, evidence-based practices within the legal system, contributing to the overall well-being of justice-involved individuals and communities at the individual, community, and systems levels..
