I am excited to be the new President of Bexley Seabury Seminary, “the seminary beyond walls,”a hybrid school for lay leaders and clergy. I will retire from the Army, where I serve as the Dean of the Graduate School, U.S. Army Institute for Religious Leadership, overseeing several schools and programs, to include Army CPE System (three centers and extended CPE), MFT (two Family Life Centers), professional development, academic degrees, and the Army Chaplain Corps Journal. The Grad School also teaches Moral Injury and Combat Medical Ministry/Emergency Medical Ministry courses with over 200-student throughput annually.
Previously worked as the Director of Clinical Pastoral Education Center at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, TX, educating Certified Educator Candidates and CPE residents. Directed the largest CPE Center in the DoD.
Have a varied background in military, chaplaincy, teaching, business, and parish ministry. Published a couple of articles and presented at conferences on Moral Injury, PTSD, and PTG. These wide range of experiences and education all have interrelated skill sets of leadership, strategic planning, communication, teaching, counseling, and trauma care.
Want to teach, coach, and mentor leaders in academia, industry, and ministry, to think critically and to engage their lives, others within in their spheres of influences, and their vocations. Love to engage in academic work around moral injury, PTSD, PTG, spiritual care, leadership, and professional development.
